JMJ Annual Tournament

The Jeffrey Milano-Johnson Memorial Fund has chosen to sponsor an annual lacrosse tournament to honor Jeff's memory. With Jeffrey's love for the game of lacrosse and his passion for life, his family believes that establishing this tournament will be a fitting tribute to Jeffrey's legacy.

 

Overview of the JMJ Lacrosse Tournament

 

1. The JMJ Lacrosse Tournament is for JV level Boy's & Girls lacrosse teams that have recently completed their scholastic spring seasons.

 

2. The JMJ Lacrosse Tournament is traditionally scheduled for the last weekend in May or the 1st weekend in June of each year.

 

3. The JMJ Lacrosse Tournament is sponsored and managed solely by the Jeffrey Milano-Johnson Memorial Fund and not by any other community lacrosse program or by any member of the Section 5 athletic organization.

 

4. The JMJ Lacrosse Tournament has no relation to the JV Lacrosse spring season and is purposely scheduled for after the spring scholastic season had been completed.

 

5. The JMJ Lacrosse Tournament is one of the primary fundraising activities for the Jeffrey Milano-Johnson Memorial Fund.

 

2nd Annual JMJ Lacrosse Tournament  - 2009

 

The 2nd Annual JMJ Lacrosse Tournament was held on June 6, 2009 and was a huge success.

 

10 Boy's JV teams and 8 Girl's JV teams participated representing over 375 lacrosse players.

 

Thank you to all teams and families that participated as together we raised over $10,000 for the JMJ Memorial Fund which has provided a) funding for ROCE6, an academic and sports camp for inner city kids; b) high school scholarships; c) funding for the Hickok Center for Brain Injury and d:) progrrams for seriously ill children and adults and their families.
